Leadership roles in AMA organization

At-large representatives

  • Two positions available. One incumbent is eligible for reappointment; one candidate is not eligible due to term limit. Term is two years. Maximum is two consecutive, 2-year terms.
  • Medical students are not eligible for at-large positions.

GLMA: Health Professionals Advancing LGBTQ Equality 

GLMA representative 

  • One available. Incumbent is not eligible for re-election due to term limit. Term is three years. Maximum is two consecutive 2-year terms.
  • Nominations are administered through the respective organization.
  • GLMA nominates representatives to be considered for appointment by the AMA Board of Trustees.

2元彩票LGBTQ Advisory Committee members are appointed by the AMA Board of Trustees. 

The names of all nominees, along with materials submitted, will be forwarded to the Board for their consideration in advance of their April meeting.  Decisions are announced within one week following the Board meeting. Those who are appointed are expected to attend the AMA Annual Meeting in Chicago, June 4-6, 2020.
